Hi, I’m Debbie, the owner and editor of Catpedia.net. I created Catpedia to share practical, easy-to-understand information about cat behavior, breed history, grooming, health basics, and everyday care. I share my home with two rescue cats, Snickers and Bigboy, who inspire many of the articles, guides, and product reviews on the site.
Catpedia started as a passion project and has grown into a resource for cat owners who want clear answers without having to sort through confusing or overly technical advice.
What You’ll Find on Catpedia
Catpedia covers common cat questions, breed profiles, behavior explanations, grooming tips, litter and product reviews, and practical care guides for everyday cat owners.
I’m not a veterinarian, and Catpedia is not a replacement for veterinary advice. For health-related topics, I use veterinary references, scientific studies, and trusted animal health organizations, and I encourage readers to contact a veterinarian when a cat’s symptoms, behavior, or health changes are concerning.
Why I Created Catpedia
Like many cat owners, I’ve spent plenty of late nights searching for answers to questions like “why is my cat licking me?” or “how do I help my anxious cat feel safe?” I wanted Catpedia to be a place where those questions are answered clearly and practically.
My goal is to help cat owners feel more informed, more prepared, and more confident in the everyday choices they make for their cats.
